New photovoltaic subsidy - only for a short time!

A total of around 600 million euros in 2023 - submission for the first call from March 23, 2023 for 2 weeks (until 6.4.23) at the EAG processing office - this should once again exceed the expansion record in 2023. Over 250 million euros are available in the first round, and there will be a total of four funding calls this year, which can be submitted during the course of the year. Due to the high level of interest in PV systems, it is assumed that not all funding applications can be accepted. So you have to be quick to get hold of a subsidy, according to Andreas Wirth, Federal Guild Master, in the Ö1 "Morgenjournal".

The four dates

The currently planned funding calls in 2023 for private individuals start on March 23, June 14, August 23 and October 9 and are always open for 2 weeks .

IMPORTANT: If the funding was rejected in one call, you can apply again in the NEXT call - there is a special copy function on the ÖMAG online platform!

New

Private individuals who apply for a conventional rooftop system with an output of up to 20 kilowatts and do not qualify for funding via the EAG are automatically forwarded to the → Climate and Energy Fund funding scheme.

All information on this and other environmental subsidies can be found here.

Who can apply?

Private individuals who either

  • BEFORE the installation of a PV system or already
  • have begun construction, but BEFORE commissioning.
  • The period until the PV system must be put into operation has been extended to 24 months.
  • A bidding procedure is NO longer necessary for systems under 20kW and the settlement agency ÖMAG can make commitments before the end of the call.
